Sponsored by Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset, holiday festivities kick off with a birthday party for Santa and continue with magical photo meet & greets in a spectacular reimagined scenery, a unique event for guests with special needs — and even pet photos! Located in Center Court on the shopping center’s Lower Level, visits with Santa will begin Saturday, Nov. 16 through Thursday, Dec. 24.
Set amongst 25 garland-topped light curtains (each adorned with thousands of white, glistening lights) and candy-cane inspired twists cascading from high above, Santa @ The Commons will feature an authentic Kris Kringle perched in his grand velvet chair in front of a redesigned set that includes a majestic new 30-foot tree with a 5-foot topper, additional 10-foot trees and scenic elements as well as new “Elf Training” interactives on the line to entertain kids while they wait. The red frame from past seasons was removed to make the encounter with Santa more personal and photos appear even more magical.

Santa’s Birthday Celebration and Holiday Kickoff!
Saturday, November 16, 11am – 1pm
Bridgewater Commons kicks off the season in the most spectacular way with Santa’s birthday party! Santa’s Birthday Celebration will be held Saturday, November 16 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., commemorating the eternal Santa’s big day with Mrs. Claus, music, dancing, balloon art, magic and, of course, a birthday sing-along for Santa. Guests will enjoy sweet treats provided by the Girl Scouts Heart of New Jersey, while supplies last. And don’t forget a present! While not for Santa, bring an unopened toy to the birthday party and Santa will make sure it gets to a child in need through the Salvation Army and you get $5 off your Santa photo for your good deed!
Santa Cares Day
Sunday, December 1, 10am – 12pm
In conjunction with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, which lends itself to expanding Santa Cares visits for those community members with special needs including and beyond that of autism, Bridgewater Commons to partner with The Arc of New Jersey and will hold a Santa Cares Day. Children and adults within all spectrums of special needs and their families are welcome to their sensory-friendly event to experience the time-honored tradition of a visit and photos with Santa. This aims to be a quieter, more low-key event. Reservations recommended.
Pet Night with Santa
Bring your furry, four-legged family members to meet Santa! Cats and dogs are welcome with their pet parents on a leash or in a carrier. A percentage of sales to benefit the Somerset Regional Animal Shelter. Walk Ins Only.
